The Hok-Si-La Campground and Municipal Park is located along Highway 61 in Minnesota and lies on the shores of Lake Pepin, a lake that is actually part of the Mississippi River. The Hok-Si-La Campground is a unique, tent-only camping experience which allows you to drive in for only 15 minutes to unload your gear, and then your car must be parked outside the spacious campsites. Some of the other things to see and do at the Hok-Si-La Municipal Park and Campground include boating, swimming on sand beaches, fishing, hiking and birding. The park also includes a 200 person dining hall, screened shelter areas and a historical interpretive center where you can also borrow games and sporting equipment for free.
