Latsch State Park
Latsch State Park is Part of the Great River Road Audio Tour

Latsch State Park Minnesota Tourism Information

John Latsch State Park
is located along the Mississippi River between Kellogg and Winona, MN on Highway 61. Latsch State Park is named after successful Winona grocery store owner John A. Latsch, who also founded the Izaak Walton League. Latsch loved fishing the Mississippi in the area of the park near the river bluffs named Hope, Faith and Charity. He was fishing and enjoying the beauty of the landscape one day when he was run off by a local farmer. Latsch promptly purchased the farmer’s land so that the area would be available to everyone. The park has a short nature trail that leads to the top of Charity Bluff, has tent Great River Road camping, cabin rentals and picnic areas.
