is located on Lake Bemidji, and is the first city along the Mississippi River as the river begins just southwest of Bemidji at Lake Itasca. There are no other towns along its journey to Lake Bemidji. Bemidji, Minnesota well known for its 18 foot tall statue of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, but has much more to offer. Other things to see when you visit Bemidji include the Great Northern Depot Museum, a statue of its Ojibwa founder Chief Bemidji, Lyle’s Logging Camp, two amusement parks and Paul Bunyan Animal Land, Minnesota’s larges wildlife park and petting zoo.
