Ripley Esker, Minnesota
The Ripley Esker is Part of the Brainerd Lakes Audio Tour

Ripley Esker Minnesota Tourism Information

Eskers are geological formations created by glacial deposits that form steep-sided ridges of stream sand and gravel. Eskers are often mined for their valuable gravel and sand, so are becoming increasingly rare. The Ripley Esker of Minnesota is located north of the town of Little Falls, and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has preserved a 216 acre esker called the Ripley Esker SNA in this area to save it for future generations to enjoy.
